Is this a filter over a colour drawing?

No. The style is part of the drawing instruction for each panel, so composition, line weight and where the blacks fall are decided in the style, not desaturated afterwards.

Can I switch a finished page to this style?

Yes, with Restyle at subtle, balanced or strong strength. Each panel gets a new version and the old accepted version stays in history, so nothing is lost.

Can I keep one colour?

A single spot colour is supported — one hue across the page, usually for a light source or one object. More than one and the style stops reading as noir.

Does it work for manga pages?

It does, but heavy spotted blacks and screentone fight each other. For manga layouts the screentone preset usually reads better; automatic right-to-left ordering is still planned.

Will my characters stay consistent in black and white?

An approved character sheet is sent as a labeled reference to reduce drift in monochrome, but generated faces can still vary. Review the result panel by panel before export.

Better than most styles. Flat blacks and no gradients survive print, and the export validator flags anything below 300 dpi before you download.

Line: Variable-weight brush, thick contours, sparse interior detail
Blacks: Large flat spotted blacks, roughly 40% of the frame
Light: One hard source per panel, long cast shadows, blown highlights
Shading: Hatching in the mid-tones, no screentone, no gradients
Palette: Ink black to paper white, one optional spot colour
Texture: Dry-brush edges and rain streaks; grain stays out of faces
Lettering: Reverse captions — white text on solid black boxes

Reads well as

Crime, thriller, wartime, hard science fiction. Night exteriors, rain, single light sources, faces half in shadow.
